Description

The Cable Input Module 2060V monitors QAM signals as found in QAM cable networks. The system monitors both analog carrier signal quality as well as the quality of the MPEG video content, providing complete visibility.

This input module is specifically designed for the BV-1200V or BV-2200V. A single platform can accommodate one verifier and one or two Input Modules 2060V.

Complete configuration with the BV-1200V or BV-2200V offers monitoring of three services in parallel. Services consist of IP MPTS/SPTS multicasts as well as asynchronous serial interface (ASI) input and QAM modulator, all with Priority 1-3 TR 101 290 monitoring.

The unit is ideal for cable TV systems and hybrid networks where IP is used as a carrier from the headend to the regional edge multiplexer/modulator.

The BV-2060V is an ideal solution for complete monitoring in DVB-C or hybrid DVB-C/IP networks. One BV-2060V is capable of demodulating a DVB-C mux for ETR 101 290 Priority 1 fault detection and alarm generation in the full DVB-C frequency band (51 to 858 MHz).

By running in sweep mode, the BV-2060V is further capable of measuring analog signal levels, providing a basic frequency analyzer function at the deployment location.

Additional features

  • Built-in digital surface acoustical wave (SAW) filter
  • Analog RF carrier signal level measurements
  • Round-robin channel testing
  • Fully controlled via backplane by BV-1200V or BV-2200V
  • Built-in general purpose alarm relay (GPI)
