The concept of internetworking could not exist without the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) standard. Sharing files, sending emails, browsing the Internet are all based on TCP. In addition, TCP is used for organizing and transferring large amounts of data in a way that ensures secure and reliable communication between severs and connected devices (i.e., end users). The most widely used Ethernet tests for validating network performance for E2E services are RFC 2544 and EtherSAM, with EtherSAM being the go-to test for validating service level agreements (SLAs). Today, as more people are transitioning to a teleworking environment, they depend even more on their home internet service in order to do their jobs. Given this new reality, the TCP process becomes critical for validating network performance and SLAs. During this webinar, we will explain the TCP test process, how it works, and how to efficiently troubleshoot an end-to-end service using TCP.
Key takeaways:
- What is TCP
- What are the different TCP tests available
- How to troubleshoot a service
