Description

The BV-1200V-P features both optical and electrical Gigabit Ethernet inputs, a separate management port as well as ASI input and output. It has one of the widest ranges of built-in interfaces in any portable device.

The ability to monitor 10 to 50 services with full TR 101 290 alarming and analysis makes the portable BV-1200V-P invaluable for field use. Its ruggedized exterior and fanless design give engineers the perfect fault-finding tool when roaming in the network or for permanent placement of a unit in harsh environments. With full TR 101 290 analytics and support for all modern media transportation codecs, the BV-1200V-P is built for real-world use.

Critical parameters such as jitter values give accurate readings of network performance. With the patented MediaWindow™, historical data can be easily accessed for meaningful visualization of media flow in an IP network.

Confidence monitoring is further enhanced by monitoring all TR 101 290 parameters, bandwidth overflow/underflow and signal loss. With advanced threshold settings including error-seconds, alarm granularity can be set to reflect the actual status.

The IP verifier can be utilized for a multitude of remote functions. It has the ability to store alarm-triggered TS recordings directly in its internal memory. The recordings can subsequently be accessed directly via the verifier’s built-in web interface or remotely.

Simple network management protocol (SNMP) multidestination trapping and XML export enable the verifiers to be implemented in any network management system (NMS) with alarm generation either directly from the verifiers themselves, or via the BrixVisionLive server for advanced alarm correlation and filtering.

Basic setup is achieved through the built-in USB to RS232 converter, eliminating the need for an external interface and facilitates the setting of IP addresses for access to the BV-1200V-P. The device can also be controlled remotely via EXFO Vision Live Monitoring Software as well as Telnet or XML configuration commands. The BV-1200V-P comes with a ruggedized scratch resistant coated finish, perfect for the field.
