Brownfield vs Greenfield 40G/100G Deployments: Making the Right Choice
Cable-Tec Expo is just around the corner and I am happy to announce that one of my papers has been selected to be presented at the event on September 22. The paper, entitled Optical spectral planning for 40G/100G deployments: tradeoffs and their impacts, covers the definition of coherent vs non-coherent, as well as greenfield vs brownfield and their respective tradeoffs in terms of bandwidth, scalability, and impact on the quality of service. It also explores some avenues for network upgrade for greenfield and brownfield next-generation technologies.
