Service assurance in the era of 5G: automation will be essential

5G is being heralded as a revolution with the potential to transform telecoms operators, enable the digital transformation of whole industries and enterprises, and change our societies forever. New ultra-reliable low latency communications (URLLC) and massive machine type communications (mMTC) capabilities are exciting stakeholders and partners across the spectrum.
Such capabilities will require a standalone 5G deployment, for which the industry has coalesced around a service-based architecture that will be enabled by network function virtualisation (NFV), cloud-native computing (CNC) and software-defined networking (SDN). This new architecture, supported by edge computing and network slicing, will be essential for the provision of URLLC and mMTC but will make 5G networks significantly more complex than ever before. Traditional service management and operational approaches for mass market communications over physical networks are no longer fit for purpose.
In this webinar, Anil Rao from Analysys Mason and Ken Gold from EXFO will present:
- The need for network automation to address this complexity, allowing operators to manage 5G networks and deliver 5G services at scale.
- The impact on service assurance, and the key components operators will need for automated assurance and an end-to-end solution.
- An overview of EXFO’s portfolio of service assurance solutions, which provides operators with end-to-end visibility into network, service and subscriber performance along with key insights to manage quality of experience (QoE).
- Insights into how EXFO links network topology with network performance to automate common troubleshooting solutions
Join us for this presentation on September 18th at 11AM EDT. The webinar will be a 45-minute presentation, followed by a 15-minute Q&A session.
